Shortly after completing design school moving to Japan, I received the opportunity to collaborate on the redesign and publishing of The Misawan, a quarterly publication that chronicled the activities of US Navy Command N.I.O.C. Misawa. Built around a six column grid, the design scheme utilizes Morse Code, as an indexical reference to the command’s intelligence oriented mission.
